Interesting to see the revisions Lubalin (and his team, I’m sure) went through creating the PBS logo used from 71 to 84. ”Don’t pull the wool over our eyes, there’s four or five smaller stars there.”
Then in 84, Tom Geismar made this update below. Taking the man out of the logo and turning him right (perhaps at the request of PBS?). More Geismar sketches and logos over at Design Boom.
